[1] MathEQ 4.0 is HERE!
We are pleased to announce the release of MathEQ 4.0 Expression Editor,
the re-engineered update to the popular Expressionist program from
the 1990's.
MathEQ 4.0 is available in:
- Macintosh OSX for 10.1 or higher
- Macintosh Classic 7.5.3 - 9.2.2
- Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP with OLE!
New features include:
- Windows: OLE functionality - Re-edit expressions directly inside
of the OLE container (like MS Word, FrameMaker, etc.).
- Macintosh: advanced embedding font support for PostScript printing
to ensure font availability inside of all documents (e.g. MS Word)
- Convert and update Equation Editor and MathType expressions
to re-editable MathEQ
- Copy Specific menu to provide exact Copy requirements for third-party
software/applications (MS Word, Adobe InDesign, etc.), with customizable preferences.
- Save to EPS, PNG, MathML, or PICT/WMF to have backups of your
expressions outside of the third-party programs.
- Make PNG (used just like GIFs) images for making webpages that are re-editable!
- Create MathML for usage with newer web browsers.
- MathSpeak: make your webpages available to visually-impaired
and blind screen readers.
- Macintosh: customize image resolutions for screen and printing.
- Cymbol Font: seamlessly use the better-looking Symbol font replacement
for greek and other symbols.
- Customization Ultra! Change the settings, preferences, keystrokes, palette
buttons, macros - the most powerful expression creator available!

turned off.
[2] New Licensing System
All MathEQ and LiveMath products are now using a new Licensing System,
which utilizes an Activation mechanism, similar to other products currently
available, including Windows XP and Norton AntiVirus.
Older License Keys will not work in the newer versions:
MathEQ 4.0
LiveMath Maker 3.5.6
Owners of older LiveMath 3.5 License Keys may trade in their old keys
for the newer License Keys via the LiveMath Store:
http://secure.livemath.com/store/
or via MyLiveMath at:
http://secure.livemath.com/mylivemath/
or via Email at:
newkey@livemath.com
Using MathEQ 4.0 and/or LiveMath Maker 3.5.6 or higher in either
30 Day Mode or Licensed Mode will now require an Activation step.
If your computer is connected to the internet, this Activation will
take approximately 5 seconds. If your computer is not connected
to the internet, you may obtain the Activation Code via phone,
fax, email, or (gasp!) snail mail!
One really good result of the new Licensing System is that all of
our software products are freely downloadable - you do not need to
have your License Key ready to download the software. If your
current software is Licensed and Activated, when you upgrade
to a newer (minor) version (e.g. 3.5.6 --> 3.5.7), you will not
need to re-activate the newer version: the newer software will find
the necessary License Key without re-activation.
[3] Additional Activation Sale!
For those users with multiple computers, we are having a
Multiple Activations Sale: each additional software activation
will be discounted by 50% from the regular price.
Sale ends soon! So upgrade your multi-key License today!

[5] Conquer the AP Calculus Exam CD-ROM
A new CD-ROM featuring over 100 QuickTime videos of
solutions to the practice AP Calculus exam, and
LiveMath interactives demonstrating and examining
various problems from the practice AP Calculus exam.
Now studying for the AP Calculus exam can go beyond
the large paper study guides and thick problem solver
books and into the world of multimedia!
Many students learn best from watching problems
being worked out, rather than just reading about
solutions. For those visual-learners, this CD-ROM
is ideal for preparation for the AP Calculus Exam,
as well as study for the AP Calculus and Calculus I
courses in general.
