Embed Live Graphs
Inside of Webpages!

No more static GIFs of 2D or 3D graphs. Using LiveMath Plug-In/ActiveX, your graphs are ALIVE and fully interactive: spin, zoom-in/out, change functions, inputs, windows, domains, ...

Embed Live Algebra
Inside of Webpages

Set up a LiveMath notebook to have a series of algebraic computations. Then when viewed for FREE using LiveMath Plug-In/ActiveX, your viewers can change the input expressions, and see the recomputations LIVE and INSTANTANEOUSLY!

Embed Typeset Math
Expressions into HTML

LiveMath Plug-In/ActiveX also allows the embedding of fully-re-editable math expressions using MathEQ Expression Editor: math expressions in HTML are rendered via text, not GIF or JPG or Java downloads.

Netscape-Based Browsers
Netscape-based browsers, including Opera, Mozilla, iCab, and, of course, Netscape, provide for "Plug-Ins" to embed additional content inside of webpages.

LiveMath Plug-In for Netscape works on Macintosh and Windows Netscape-Based browsers. Download the FREE LiveMath Plug-In now!

Installation is easy: just download LiveMath Plug-In, run the installer, and voila! Your Netscape-based browser is now LiveMath webified! You may now view and interact with LiveMath-embedded webpages created with LiveMath Maker.

Internet Explorer For Windows ActiveX Control
Our friends at Microsoft tend not to play nice with others.

Starting with Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows, Microsoft's browser no longer supports "Netscape-Style Plug-Ins". Instead, Windows Internet Explorer uses a technology called "ActiveX". Basically, "ActiveX" is just Microsoft's version of Netscape's "Plug-Ins".

LiveMath ActiveX works with (and ONLY with) all Windows Internet Explorer browsers to provide the LiveMath Plug-In functionality of embedded LiveMath notebooks inside of webpages to the Windows Internet Explorer user.

Install the FREE LiveMath ActiveX now :

Windows ActiveX for IE

LiveMath ActiveX is very easy to install! After going to the install page (link is above), just follow the easy instructions.

WARNING: Some older LiveMath webpages are not "ActiveX Enabled". Such older webpages need to have their TAGS updated to be ActiveX compliant. Thank you, Mr. Gates. Click here for more information.

Embedding LiveMath Notebooks
Embedding LiveMath notebooks inside of webpages is EASY, EASY, EASY.

Create your LiveMath notebook using LiveMath Maker, putting in graphs, algebraic or numerical calculations, text, images - whatever you want - and then:

  • Choose "Save As Plug-In w/HTML"
  • LiveMath Maker will output two files for you:
    • ".thp" file: this is the LiveMath notebook file data
    • ".html" file: this is a basic HTML file with the EMBED and OBJECT tags you need to embed the LiveMath notebook.
  • You may further edit and modify the ".html" file to add whatever other content you wish.
  • Post to a webserver: upload the ".thp" and ".html" files to a webserver for world-wide-web access.

Embedding Typeset Equations
Embedding typeset mathematical expressions inside of webpages is EASY, EASY, EASY.

Using MathEQ Expression Editor, you may create your mathematical expressions with an intuitive, easy-to-use WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) tool.

Then use the MathEQ menu command Copy As HTML to create a TEXT-based mathematical expression tag for insertion into HTML.

The MathEQ HTML tag is re-editable: you may copy-paste it back into MathEQ to re-edit it later. Way better than GIFs, PDFs, or Java-based math typesetting solutions!

Examples!
To view any of the following examples, your web browser needs to be LiveMath-enabled:
  • If Netscape-Based, you need to install LiveMath Plug-In for Netscape.
To get LiveMath Plug-In, go here.
  • If Internet Explorer/Windows is your browser, you need to install LiveMath ActiveX.
