LMM 3.5.9 U06 Posted
A couple of fixes, and some new features
from LiveMath 3.6 have "bled" in. Specifically:
- Background color in comments
See Edit : Comment Background Color
You can only set 1 color for the whole comment,
which is usually all you want.
- Integration By Parts
Major fix - wow, was it broken. And, the
methodology has changed: instead of choosing
"dv", which is not natural, you now choose
"u", which is much more natural.
- Integration by U-Substitution
Originally only for LiveMath 3.6 - the new
version in preparation - this feature fell
into LiveMath 3.5, and so I just left it there.

A slight clean up of the Apply command with derivatives and integrals. Also, you may now bypass the "guess the variable" feature by holding down the Shift key while choosing a differential or integral operator during an Apply.Robert Jun 20 2006 14:18:04 -

MacTel Universal Binaries
We have the first builds of LiveMath Maker and MathEQ Expression Editor for the new Intel-Based Macintoshes (MacTels).
http://www.livemath.com/osxpreview/
These apps will only work on Mac OSX 10.3.9 or higher, and on the G4, G5, or MacTel computers.
LiveMath Plug-In for these MacTels will take more work, for a variety of reasons, including waiting for the Firefox web browser to go Universal as well.

New Getting Started On-Line Course
A new - free - on-line course has been added to the LiveMath website: "Getting Started in LiveMath". You may enroll for this course, and go through 11 modules on getting started with the LiveMath software. Each module has a Quiz that you can "Hand-In" to the LiveMath team for grading and comments, which will be returned to you in 24-48 hours.
This is a great way to learn LiveMath in a structured environment - just like taking a math course.

LiveMath ActiveX IE Installer
We've posted a new version of the LiveMath ActiveX "IE-Based Installer".
This is the installer that gets run when IE loads a LiveMath webpage for the very first time (if LiveMath ActiveX is not already installed).
You can "force update" your LiveMath ActiveX control by going to the force page:
